Saturday Fun

It was another beautiful weekend so naturally we were all outside enjoying the sunshine. Of course, Izzy was in her pool. Lately, she's been getting her hair wet and styling it in silly ways. Sean and I loved this picture because it looks like she's sporting a Devil Lock like Glen Danzing (singer in a punk band from our younger days). She's such a nut and loves to make us laugh. She's quite the comedian.
Here's a picture of Luke lounging on mommy as we watch Izzy in her pool. I included it so that you can see how blue his eyes still are. We really think he's going to keep his blue eyes. How bizarre since we all have brown eyes.
Here's Luke giggling at his daddy...can't recall exactly what Sean was doing her but it must have been hilarious to Luke.
We thought Luke might like to cool off in the pool with Izzy but he wanted no part of it. I guess the water was way too cold for his liking.

Fun with Luke

Just a few fun pictures of Luke. While changing him the other day, his shirt got stuck on his big head. I thought he kind of looked like Princess Leia and was giggling so of course he joined in with his own giggles. If he only knew...
For some reason, Luke seems to really love hanging out on his changing table. He's always so alert there and ready to interact.
I've recently started taking Luke for walks around the neighborhood. Surprisingly, he stays awake for them and seems to enjoy looking at the palm trees and clouds. This next picture was taken at the start of one of our walks. He looks so pensive here. I think he was studying the stones on our columns. Such a cutie pie.
Ready to take it all in on our walk.

Happy Mother's Day!

Luke is Tiggeriffic!

Just some cute pictures of our Lukey boy. We love his awake times when he's ready for smiles, giggles and coos. Although you can't really tell in this picture, his eyes are still very light blue. We're wondering if they'll stay that color or darken to brown like the rest of us. Either will be gorgeous!

Hotties in the shower

Luke spit up all over himself the other day while Sean was in the shower. Rather than lug all his bath equipment out, I thought I'd let Sean give him a quick rinse in the shower. We were certain Luke would hate it and start wailing but to our surprise, he seemed to love being in the shower. He didn't even mind it when water splashed on his face.

"Hey, I can do cool stuff with these things!"

Luke's recently been discovering all the fun things he can do with his hands and feet. He's always kicking at my chest after he's eaten so I thought I'd give him something more entertaining to aim for. He loves to kick at an elephant rattle that will spin and make noise. He'll do it for quite some time and looks on so intently. What a wonderful discovery it must be the first time we realize we can control our limbs and affect the world around us.

Baking for mommy

We decided Mother's Day was a great excuse for making brownies which I've been craving for weeks. Izzy was so excited to do some baking. She loves to help out in the kitchen. Hopefully she'll inherit her cooking skills from her daddy because mommy is a terrible cook. She's smiling as she's preparing the brownies so I'm hoping that's a good sign...I never smile while cooking. Such a chore!
Such a perfectionist!
