Duck Butt
Isabella loves to help me pick out clothes for Luke to wear. She was immediately drawn to this outfit by the duckie on the butt. This was one of Izzy's old onesies. Surprisingly, Luke barely fits in it at one month...she wore it up until she was six months old I believe.
Mesmerizing Luke
Happy Easter 2009!

Sean and Izzy decide to help the Easter Bunny out by decorating a few eggs. Such good helpers they are.

Here's my little Luke all dressed up for Easter. He didn't like wearing the bunny ears very much...I think he knew they were kind of girlie.

My beautiful bunny. I marvel daily at how what a beauty she is-inside and out.
Izzy is quite the egg hunter.Amuck in the mall
Just before Easter, we went to the mall to have our first family picture since Luke's arrival. Unfortunately, the studio is located directly in front of the play area so of course I have to put aside my germophobia and let Izzy have some fun. Izzy loves crawling all over the huge pieces of fruit. She especially loves standing atop the cherry on the grapefruit. I love to see her do this because when she was younger, she was always to shy to assert her position on the highly coveted cherry topper. Now she's quite the brave little girl, running around freely and making daring jumps that make my heart skip a beat.
She's quite proud of her balancing powers.
Here are Luke and Sean hanging out watching Izzy run all about.
Pirate Party
Here are a few pictures of my favorite people taken at a pirate themed party. We have such a great group of friends who are always throwing silly parties. Izzy looks forward to them and always has such a blast. I'm sure Luke will be quite the party goer too. In my opinion, these are the cutest pirates ever. AAAARRRR!

Still growing!
Just a quick update on my growing boy. We took him for his 2 week check up and he has been packing on the pounds. He's up to 9 pounds, 10 oz. after just two weeks! I feel quite accomplished since he is solely a breastfed baby. He eats all the time and is already one third Izzy's weight. The doctor said he is doing great. The only thing out of the ordinary was mention of being slightly tongue tied but she didn't feel it was severe enough to warrant surgery. Obviously, it hasn't affected his ability to nurse. Here's another picture of him sleeping. Strangely, he does not like to be swaddled when he sleeps. He loves to stretch out. I think this is because he was so cramped in my tummy that he is relieved to be free...a feeling we share! It feels so great to no longer be pregnant and to be able to hold him in my arms. I'm feeling more and more like myself every day and haven't had to battle post partum depression this time around. I truly feel Sean and I are able to savor every moment since we're not first time parents. We definitely are more confident this time and much more relaxed.
